Well DCDirewolf wasn’t able to send me the picture of a chicken on 11th Street so I thought I’d show y’all a picture of the greatest chicken I’ve ever seen. Note the sweet hair.

So comment of the day is from the stuffed chicken post:

Chris comments, “Does anyone know where the real chicken walking around on 11th street (near Wonderland) came from?”

Odentex responds, “Chris, my guess would be “an egg”.

Brilliant.

Or is that a rooster? Regardless, this is the greatest window decoration I’ve seen in dozens of miles traversed in this fair city. When I first saw it I thought it was a live one it looked so real. I did a quadruple take. Simply super, super cool.

You can’t keep up with these Joneses so don’t even try…

That’s pretty wild, yeah? I can’t decide if it is the coolest planter I’ve ever seen or the most ridiculous. What do you think?

This one made me laugh. Although, it made me think of a commercial that used to play all the time up in New York. Anyone remember the commercials for the “beautiful Mount Airy Lodge”?

But c’mon Airy View, that’s terrible, right? Have any other terrible names popped up?

Thanks to a reader for sending in the following news:

“Okay so maybe it was just a lowly little in-flight magazine. But on my flight back from LA this weekend, imagine my surprise when I see “Looking Glass Lounge” included in a short list of hot spots in DC. Petworth represent!”

The inflight magazine is from Air Trans Airline. Not sure if you can see it in the picture but LGL is listed in the “Go Party” section on the lower right hand side. Pretty cool that LGL and Petworth are now making it into inflight magazines.

Now if I could just find a globe that opens up into a bar…

Why are there these barriers in front of some regular row homes? Did someone famous live here back in the day? Am I missing something?
