This one is painted on the back of a rowhouse in Columbia Heights. It was super hard to spot, I barely caught it out of the corner of my eye walking down 13th Street.

Thanks to a reader for sending this photo. The ballerina crew is of course in reference to yesterday’s post on crews in DC. The reader writes:
“We decided we weren’t afraid of the Ballerina Crew….
The city painted over it 3 days after it was painted on.”

Upper 14th Street was a treasure trove for me this week. This one is pretty sweet, yeah? Check out how there is an “open” sign right in the middle. Sadly, I didn’t go in to see what type of store this is. Anyone from North Country recognize it?

This one is on the side of a building that houses a Yoga shop. So the artist isn’t simply insane…

Even though I call this mural of the day, it is really rare for me to find so many sweet murals over one weekend. Upshur Park, by the by, has a swimming pool that I’m most definitely going to have to check out when it gets warmer.

Here’s a beauty from Georgia Avenue.

Dang this is a great one. It’s located on the side of rowhouse on Meridian west of 14th Street. Nicely done! More photos after the jump. (more…)

Tina found this one “in an alley in Adams Morgan. When you cut through to 18th from Champlain, by that big public garage.”
Can’t say I’ve ever seen a Dragon mural before…

Sadly I was only able to get the top part as the rest was blocked by the fence. But you can tell this is wicked fresh. It’s painted on the side of rowhouse.

It’s located at 2714 Georgia Ave. Looks like a great spot for a cup of coffee. Anyone try the food or coffee?

On the side is also a very cool mural.
