Not a bad spot for a morning cup of coffee or breakfast burrito either.

The great mural behind the gas station on Calvert Street in Adams Morgan has been damaged due to some repairs to the building. Hope the artist is able touch up the mural!

I feel like this mural on the 100 block of Florida Ave, NW gets better and better every time I pass it.

I’m digging the new mural on the long vacant across from the Pleasant Plains Workshop at 2608 Georgia Ave, NW.

Nice! Hadn’t seen this one before.

From near the Takoma (DC) metro station. It’s called “From a Model to a Rainbow” by Sam Gilliam.

From Shaw.

Not the place I’d expect to see such cool murals. From Georgetown.

When I posted about the transformation at 9th and Q St, NW I couldn’t find many of my old photos (taken around 2007) of the murals on the building. [You can see how the building now looks here. Word is that a barber is coming to the retail space in the front half of the building.]
Well I was cleaning out an old computer and finally found a couple more photos of the murals.
Seems like a lifetime ago:

From Roosevelt High School near the parking lot for the Petworth library.
