“Dear PoPville,

Would you or a reader know what happened last night around 2am at the 3800 block of 14th NW? at 3:30, it was over but there were multiple fire trucks and a horrible smell of burn that is still present in my flat several hours later…”

DCFD reported: “Update Box Alarm 3800 block 14th St NW. #DCsBravest have extinguished fire on 2nd floor of vacant structure. No injuries. Fire investigators called to scene.”

“ADW-Gun 2100 block of 4th Street Northeast

On Tuesday, March 24, 2020, at approximately 2042 hours the victims report that a dark colored sedan pulled into the block and parked. An unidentified suspect then exited the vehicle and shot at the victims and then fled the scene. The suspect vehicle was last seen Westbound on Rhode Island Avenue Northeast. The suspect was described by the victims as a black male wearing a ski type mask. This case is actively being investigated by the Fifth District detectives office.”

“The Fourth District is investigating an unlawful discharge of a weapon that occurred on March 24, 2020, at approximately 11:48 P M in the 300 block of Allison Street NW. Anyone with information or video is asked to contact MPD at 202-727-9099 or Text 50411.”

A grey color vehicle was observed fleeing the scene and evidence was recovered. Anyone with information or video is asked to contact MPD at 202-727-9099 or Text 50411.”
