The Craigslist ad says:

“Ideally located between Dupont Circle and Georgetown, Rock Creek Gardens entices you
With beautifully landscaped grounds and newly renovated lobby. The spacious apartment
Homes offer hardwood floors, renovated kitchens, and oversized closets.”

Do you think $1440 sounds reasonable for this location?

We’ve previously judged Cafe Divan located at 1834 Wisconsin Ave., NW. I just noticed that they have had a grand opening of their Sea Room. Anyone know anything about this? I assume it will specialize in seafood but I didn’t see anything about it on their Web site. Anyone happen to try it out yet?

I found this mural on Wisconsin Avenue near Q Street, NW. It is very simple but I like how it contrasts the gas signage.

I thought this was a good looking gate from Georgetown. Though I did find the horse head oddly out of place…

Georgetown Cafe is located at 1623 Wisconsin Ave NW. This looks like an awesome late night spot which was confirmed by some folks over at Yelp. But I’m wondering for those who’ve been there – is it better for Middle Eastern food or breakfast/diner type food?

Puro Cafe is coming to 1529 Wisconsin Ave, NW. I asked a neighbor if she knew when it would open but she didn’t know the exact date. I’ll be sure to update when they officially open their doors.

And I was excited to see construction begin at the corner of 13th and U Streets, NW. I’m eager to see what tenants move in:

The fliers says:

“Gorgeous C. Zapatka designed renovation worthy of Architectural Digest. Three levels of exquisite in-town living. Flagstone patios and gardens in front and back. Elegantly sited and recessed back from the streets. Two blocks to Wisconsin Ave. Three bedrooms and two a half baths.”

I know I should probably have waited for tomorrow’s house porn post but I couldn’t wait, I was so intrigued with this house. I was most taken by how skinny it is and was curious what the inside looked like. What do you think about the home itself? Think it is worthy of Architectural Digest? It’s yours for $1,329,000.

I really liked the difference in the three styles from floor to floor. A pretty cool stand-alone from Georgetown.

The flier says:

“One of Georgetown’s finest historic properties on the corner of 30th and N St. Four bedroom three and a half bath with two fireplaces. Elegant formal living and dining room with original moldings and large south facing windows. Wood floors throughout the house with a view of the Washington Monument from the top floor. Flagstone courtyard with pond and separate entrance.”

This has to have one of the craziest bathrooms (half) that I’ve ever seen. But I think the feature I like best is the courtyard. Do you think this is worthy of the title House Porn? It’s yours for $2,195,000.
