From the Georgetown BID:

“On Thursday, March 3, 9am, Georgetown welcomes its newest addition to cupcake mania, Sprinkles Cupcakes (3015 M Street, NW). Be the first in line to satisfy your sweet tooth with renowned, Hollywood-famous cupcakes from what Food Network describes as “the world’s first cupcake bakery.”

Muncheez is located at 1071 Wisconsin Avenue, NW. I’ll be honest from the outside and the name I thought this place was gonna be horrible. I couldn’t have been more wrong – it is freaking awesome. I had no idea there was a middle eastern connection here (in addition to crepes and wraps etc.) I had a snack called Nana’s original that was really good. Well you can see the full menu here. Anyone else try them out yet? Any other recommendations for what to order?

I’ve started to get a lot of emails about this:

Missy Frederick and Danielle Douglass wrote about it back in Sept. ’10. From the Post:

“To be nestled in the unofficial home goods section of the neighborhood, the store will fill some 13,000 square feet at 3307 M St., across from BoConcept, Pedini DC and Contemporaria. Similar to its posh neighbors, CB2 offers contemporary designs that are a tad edgier than those of its big sister, Crate & Barrel.”

CB2 will be opening in April 2011 at 3307 M St, NW.

Based on my emails folks are getting pretty excited about this. Are there lots of CB2 fans out there?

It’s been a while since we looked a “Classic Georgetown bay front Victorian”. I’m sure some folks’ll laugh at the colors but there’s some pretty sweet details here as well. How do you think this one ranks among house porn posts? It’s yours for $1,895,000.

Sprinkles Cupcakes is coming to 3015 M St NW. Their Web site says that cupcakes cost $3.25 each or $36 for a dozen. For the cupcake fans out there – is that about the going rate?

They plan on opening up in Feb. ’11.

HomeMade Pizza Co. already has a location at 14th and Church St, NW in Logan Circle. You can see their menu here. They opened the 14th St, NW location back in Jan. ’10. From their Web site:

Back when HomeMade Pizza Co. was just a thought scribbled on a napkin, most people had never heard of bake-at-home pizza. But it seemed like a good idea to us: really delicious pizza that bakes up in minutes, fresh from your own oven. What’s not to like? So in 1997 we set out to do it right, using all-natural ingredients and a dough recipe rolled out over months of taste testing conducted by the toughest critics on the planet: our friends.

Once we finally opened, those who gave us a try really seemed to connect with HomeMade. And with every new neighborhood came more friends looking for quick, easy, amazing dinners. Along the way, we added fresh salads and mouthwatering desserts… and suddenly, here we are.

There new location will be in an old Yoga Studio space (the mural has been painted over) at 1826 Wisconsin Ave, NW. Anyone converted to the take home pizza?
