Update: Two Men Shot. Multiple reports of shots fired/shooting on 14th Street, NW and Riggs

Full update from MPD:

“Detectives from the Metropolitan Police Department’s Third District seek the public’s assistance in locating suspects and a vehicle in reference to an Assault With Intent to Kill (Gun) offense that occurred on Thursday, July 22, 2021, in the area of 14th and Riggs Street, Northwest.

At approximately 8:20 pm, members of the Third District heard the sounds of gunshots and responded to the listed location. Upon arrival, members located two adult male victims, both conscious and breathing, suffering from gunshot wounds. (more…)

From a new liquor license placard at Creole on 14th they’re looking to stay open an extra hour which seems reasonable. For those not familiar:

Do you have any idea if and when the Cove shared workspaces will be re-opening in DC? I was a member of their Dupont Circle office but I can’t seem to get any useful information from the company. Its domain name is cove.is which appears to be in…Iceland??”

Ed. Note: Not looking good. I know they had locations in Columbia Heights and Dupont. Any other DC spots?

“When I move into a neighborhood, I really try to become a part of the community. My favorite thing to do is find coffee shops to try out and meet the staff. Before I moved to Columbia Heights, I visited a bunch of coffee shops.

According to one of the workers, Columbia Heights Target (14th and Irving/Park Road, NW) is under construction because they are putting a mini Ulta inside. Customer service, the food vendor, and Starbucks are being redone so that a very large Starbucks can go in. The Pizza Hut is being removed.” (more…)
