16th Street Heights awesomeness.

Don’t see too many like this in Bloomingdale – though they are more common in Ledroit Park. Very cool pair:

A little roughed up but you can see there are some beautiful details on this one from Bloomingdale:

A phenomenal bungalow from Woodridge:

And it’s solar too:

Cool entrance on this one from Capitol Hill.

A reader writes:
“I stumbled upon this one from the 2500 block of Rittenhouse Street, NW overlooking the northwestern section of Rock Creek Park. It’s one of the most whimsical houses I’ve ever seen in DC — crazy weather vanes on top, sculpture of a giant bird in the front, and fancifully colored trim. It look more like a bohemian house in the Pacific Northwest than anything you typically find in DC.”
Beautiful. We’ve admired this one a few times as well!

I love this slightly distressed one from Capitol Hill.

Kalorama awesomeness (not far from Adams Morgan.)

Awesome row house from Capitol Hill with a sweet transom:

And the original(?) leaded glass in the bay window:

My favorite detached row house from 15th Street:
