We’ve looked at this one from 15th St, NW back in the day but I just noticed a really cool feature:

I’m assuming this building from Dupont was a house at one point in history.

In addition to it being a very cool building, for other historical reasons I thought it’d make for a good HotD.


This is one falls into my top five favorites from Capitol Hill. Even on a bleary, gray, rainy day it shines. So many great details as well. I particularly like this one from the gutter:


This sweet style takes up a whole corner (about a dozen or so) on Capitol Hill. I’d love to see the inside when one of these go on sale!


This house from Mt. Vernon Sq. is getting a total renovation. The outside is really starting to shine nicely (unfortunately it was raining on Sat. when I took these shots but when the sun is shining, well, you can imagine how nicely that blue pops).


This one’s near the National Cathedral. I always marvel at the balcony up top. It would make for a killer best spot for a morning cup of coffee or mojito:
