I’ve always loved the porch on this one from Capitol Hill.

Bungalow heaven in Brookland. Great house numbers too:

This beauty is from Capitol Hill. While we’ve admired it before, particularly this part:

I noticed another cool detail when I passed it last week:

I have about 8 or 9 houses from Mt. Pleasant that whenever I happen to pass them I say to myself “this is my favorite house from Mt. Pleasant” but I really think this is my number 1 favorite. Until, of course, I pass another favorite…

A reader requested we take a look at the house being converted to condos at 13th and Euclid St, NW. What do you think of the mini pop up? You can see what it used to look like prior to the expansion here.

Closeups of the pop up after the jump. (more…)

Always fun stumbling upon mini houses. This one could def. lay claim to the smallest in the town. From Capitol Hill.

I like the painted details on the window up top:

This great one from Crestwood kinda reminds me of ski chalet.

I know this house is a bit distressed and I’m sure it’ll look awesome when fixed up but there’s something about it in this condition that I find fascinating. It’s off 15th St, NW I think on Caroline south of U Street. Really great details too:

My favorite from Cathedral Heights gets a bit festive. In addition to their roof, I’ve always loved their side porch:
