Again, not exactly a proper garden but I love the way this looked cascading over the retaining wall. This whole row of retaining walls on Adams Mill Road looks pretty sweet.

Ok, it’s not really a garden but my love of banana plants is well known. What I also liked about this shot was the font on “Cleveland Terrace”. It’s got a beautiful 60s vibe going on. I bet folks drink lots of martinis here…

I really love the color in this one. What are the purple ones called?

Every year this garden at 4th and Varnum, NW is amazing.

Ok, it’s not exactly a garden but how can you not photograph a butterfly…

The Annual Library. I’d never heard of this before. It is near the Mall downtown not too far from the WWII memorial. Very sweet. The pictures don’t totally do it justice.

I loved this one as it seemed totally wild. If I cropped the row houses from the photo, it’d look like it was from a park or something. I’d also never seen a non yellow sunflower. Very sweet.

I feel like this one may have been in Bloomingdale as well. I think the sculpture blends in with the garden amazingly well.

I’m not saying it looks as good as this one but since it’s in a small alley I think they did a great job.

I’ve recently become a fan of these green gardens. This one is on 13th Street, NW in Columbia Heights. This yard also had an interesting sign, anyone have a rain barrel?
