Here’s the garden on 15th Street near Allison that a reader mentioned in another GoTD post. I featured this garden last year. The banana trees are insanely huge. They also have them in the curb strip as well.

At first glance it looks rather normal. But on closer inspection, they’ve got grapes! Sweet. First peaches, then pumpkins and now grapes. I’m keeping my eyes peeled for olives next.

This plant really stopped me in my tracks. I’m not sure if you can tell from the photo but the leaves are absolutely gigantic. But then if you look at the pot it is planted in, you can see the pot is tiny. My knowledge of physics does not equip me to understand how this doesn’t tip over.

This one is located in North Cleveland Park. I dig the wood slats on the front. Another bonus about this house was that, to my surprise, it also had a pumpkin patch in the front yard. Last week I was stunned to find a pumpkin patch in Park View but I guess they’re all over town if you look hard enough.

Actually I really like this photo because of the slate retaining wall. I don’t think I’ve ever seen a slate retaining wall look this good. What do you think – thumbs up or down?

As many know by now, I love when I can combine my fascination with tree stumps and flowers.

I shit you not with this photo. A house (on Warder Street) had a pumpkin patch in their front yard. In August! How is that even possible? This photo was taken on Sunday. Insane. And totally awesome.

Holy peach tree. This had dozens of peaches. The owners are so lucky.
