Here’s another fine example of a double door. This is actually a bit of a funny story. I was really fixated on the door knob and locks and stood in front of the gate for a good two minutes or so. Little did I know that the owner was standing right behind me. He was super chill. He didn’t say a word. He just nodded. I guess when you have a door this sweet you’ve got to expect some admirers.

Nothing makes me happier than when readers email me saying something like “I found the greatest door”. It makes me realize I’m not completely insane for running this feature for over a year. This sleek entry is located at Marion and Q Streets.

This stonework is incredible though I’m not sure if I support the two columns to the left versus the 4 columns on the right.

Check out the wood carving and the old school doorknob and lock.

Sweet glass and old school doorknob.

I’m not sure if you can tell from the photo but this knocker is also huge.

But I dig the art deco look. I seem to recall there are some other art deco fans out there, right? Is this art deco or is just some curved handrails?

While I do really like this door, I have to admit I just like the way this photo came out with the reflection of the house across the street in the glass…

I actually don’t like this door at all but man that is some cool stone border.
