Just in from the National Weather Service:
“Winter Weather Advisories have been expanded eastward to include much of the I-95 corridor for Saturday morning. Wind Advisories are also in effect for much of the area. This paired with heavy, wet snowfall could lead to some power outages, especially where heaviest snow falls.”
From the Mayor’s Office:
“The District Snow Team will initiate a partial deployment beginning Saturday morning, ahead of a possible wintery mix anticipated to begin Saturday afternoon. Crews will be prepared to treat the roads with salt. Operations will begin at 10:00 a.m. Saturday morning and run through 10:00 p.m. as the weather shifts from rain to snow. Snowplows will be on standby and deployed if snow accumulates two or more inches.
