Thanks to a reader for pointing out to me that one of my “houses of the day” from April is now on the market (it is the one on the left). It is located at 521 Rock Creek Church Road. It is 4 bedrooms, 3 bathrooms, 1 half bathroom. The remarks say: “Gorgeous, restored Spanish style home with over 3,400 square feet.” Check out the MRIS Listing here. Now for the good part – the asking price is $703,500. So good deal or not?

Thanks to a reader for sending in this link for the house for sale at 1309 Kenyon Street. I have walked by this house a million times and always stop to admire it and its incredible porch. I’ve always thought this was one of the nicest houses I’ve passed in Columbia Heights. Now what makes this the fantasy edition is that the price is $1,299,000.

The listing says “incredible spectacular one of a kind detached home beautifully renovated w original well preserved woodwrk main house has 5 bdrms 3 1 2 ba 3br 2 f bath legal apartment in lower level sunny rented 2500 month”.

So this is way out of my price range but just out of curiosity – a house this big, in such a great location – is it a good deal or not?

Thanks once again to DC Real Estate agent, Kevin Wood for putting together a list of home and condo sales for the month of April. Kevin has compiled a list home sales for zip codes 20011, 20010, and 20009. Click on the following link to open up a PDF of the list. April Home Sales So do you think prices have started to stabilize in this zip codes?

This house is located at 2226 12th Street, NW and the asking price is $637,800. The flier says that the house is completely renovated and has two huge bedrooms, two full spa like bathrooms, powder room on first floor and a chef’s eat in kitchen. You can check out some photos of the inside here. It also has one of the sickest copper backs that I’ve seen (photo after the jump). So what do you think good deal or not? (more…)

I think the courtyard of the Union Row condos looks awesome. The condos are located on 14th St. between V and W and this is a pretty sweet location that should be factored in for “good deal or not”. Apparently there are two types of condos – The Flats and The Warehouses. The Flats prices range from studios in the high $200s, one bedrooms from mid $400s and two bedrooms, the upper $400s and two bedrooms/dens from the upper $500s.

The Warehouse has single level units from the high $300s, 1.5 level units from the upper $400s and 2.5 levels from the low $700s. If anyone can find interior pictures be sure to post the link in the comments. But this is a new building so I’m sure it looks nice. Now have at it, good deal or not?

I’m super intrigued about this one because it is so close to the Petworth metro. It is located at 3810 8th Street, NW. The flyer says it has 5 bedrooms and 3 full bathrooms. In the remarks it says: “Spacious and light filled…within a 10 minute walk of Petworth Metro. Many improvements have been made including upgraded kitchen and baths…Fenced in rear yard with 2 car parking…Property is being sold “AS IS” however shows well.”

Curious that they say within a 10 minute walk of metro because it’s really a two minute walk to metro if that. But anyway, what you’ve been waiting for $550,000. I know people are going to go nuts but remember how close it is to the metro. Now have at it, good deal or not?

This home at 19 Rock Creek Church Rd. is going for $385,000. I was unable to find photos on line but it looks pretty sweet from the brochure I picked up. The pamplet does say it is a “fixer upper”. So would you pay $385,000 for a fixer upper on Rock Creek Church Road across from the Old Soldiers Home?

You know you are living the good life when your closet has a window like this one. This closet is located at 1407 W Street, NW. I believe this one bedroom was going for $369,000. Might be a bit steep but there is a window in the closet!
