Normally I’m not a fan of basement apartments but this one actually does look like it gets good light. Does $1500 for this location sound reasonable?

Does $895 sound reasonable for this 1 bed/1 bath? I chose this one (though it is a bit further north then requested) because I though it might work for the following reader who asks:

“I’m looking for a new place to live in Petworth within the rhombus defined by:

Between and Taylor and Farragut
Between Georgia and New Hampshire

Can’t afford more than $900/month incl. utilities and I come with a quiet/tidy/peaceful/herbivorous 5-year old son.

“Have you heard anything about the Fort Totten Station apartments? I am wondering if any of your readers have any thoughts on the complex… I do think their actual prices were a bit more inflated then what they are advertising on CL. I was looking at one of their 1 BR + Den and it was $1700.”
