I don’t think I’ve ever seen a church for sale before. This actually makes me kind of sad because they are really good neighbors. They are very friendly and take really good care of their property, always raking or picking up garbage when necessary. So who buys a church? Do you think it will be bought by another congregation or turned into a house or what?

I don’t like to make light of funerals. But permit me this one exception. Isn’t it weird to see a lead funeral car flying a funeral banner and two Redskins flags? Unless the deceased was a huge fan, I’d have to say this is kind of wrong. It’s not like the Redskins flags are soldered on, they clip right off. And it wasn’t even a game day.

This is Lincoln Congregational located at 11th and R St, NW. Nice architecture, nice details, this one has it all. If I wouldn’t burn upon entry I’d love to check out the inside.

This is a great Church on 13th Street no too far from Logan Circle. I love how sits right next to row houses. Speaking of churches, on Sunday I heard amazing music coming out of some of the churches. I would love to be able to go inside and listen. Unfortunately, I’m not particularly religious nor am I of the Christian persuasion. So, is it ridiculous to ask if I could attend a service to listen to the music? Or is that rude, almost like being a tourist? I’m conflicted. Thoughts?

Just thought this was a nice picture of St. Gabriel’s located on Grant Circle.

This is a storefront church located on Upshur near Domku. You won’t mistake it for the National Cathedral anytime soon. Anyone familiar with this one? Do they have such a small following or did they break from a bigger church?

One of our many Churches in Petworth. This one has a refined beauty. If you walk by on a Sunday you can sometimes hear beautiful singing.
