Aren’t you supposed to keep wood piles away from your house for fear of attracting termites? Or is that just a myth?

Do you think this is a factor in deciding whether or not to purchase a particular house. Would you ever think – man, that’s a lot of steps to be walking up and down everyday? I know we’ve discussed the long steps in the backyards of some Mt. Pleasant homes and what a pain in the ass it must be to carry the garbage cans up and down. But what about a lengthy front stairway – would you think twice about purchasing a home with an entrance like this?

It was a bit sunny out when I took this photo but I think you can see it is a fairly unusual plaque. Do you like the compacted numbers or do you find it too hard to read? I like them as they are a bit unique and have a nice flavor.
