I think this is another version of a nice painted brick house. I also like the brick work up top. It’s not a GDoN but for the curious the listing is here, it’s going for $625,000.

The Wilson building is located at 1350 Pennsylvania Ave, NW and of course is the home to the Mayor and Council. I never realized just how sweet this building is. Lots of great details:

Wikipedia has some history:

“In 1995, two-thirds of the Wilson Building was leased to the Federal Government for 20 years, because it was severely deteriorated and the bankrupt District could not afford repairs. However, after Congress approved a major renovation for the building, the District was able to regain use of the entire building. However, the repair work necessitated the mayor and council to relocate temporarily to the building at One Judiciary Square until they were able to reoccupy the Wilson Building in September 2001.”

I really like the iron steps and the blue paint on the borders.

I thought the skinny glass connecting structure looked really cool between the two older buildings. This shot was taken at the corner of 9th and F Streets, NW. What is the function? To connect the two buildings? Do you dig the look?

This house is gigantic. I suppose it may be cut into apartments but I’m not sure. I dig the stone.

The building above is located at 1050 K Street, NW. I think it’s pretty cool looking, but I still think I prefer the brick ones. What about you?

I also thought this was a pretty cool back of a rowhome. Anyone ever see one that angles up like that?

You’d never guess it looked like that from the front:

I think I may have shown this one back in the day, but man it was shining today. Love that double deck balcony.

This strip is located at 5th and Q Streets, NW (I think). I was struck by the wood up top probably leading out to a roof deck. I kinda dig it. You?

The house at the triangle of 11th Street and Vermont Ave has finally been completed. I had shown this house in various states of renovation previously. I think it came out great. I’m hoping the owners let me take some interior photos.
