Oh man, I found some great ones in Crestwood/16th Heights area today. This one blew me away. It was west of 16th Street, I think, on Varnum.

I love the bay window on this home from Monroe Street in Columbia Heights.

Truth be told, it’s all about the hammock here. Only one maybe two more months of good hammock time left in the season…

It’s a bit obscured by the tree but I really liked this one in Woodley Park.

We’ve looked at this home in Mt. Pleasant in the past before it was fully completed. Initially I thought the partial brown top looked a bit odd. But I took a look this weekend and I think it actually came out looking pretty good. The place is gigantic, not sure if the photo conveys that. I assume it has got to be a multi family residence, yeah? Also a pretty big garage in the back. What do you think now that it’s completed – thumbs up or down?

This is a classic rowhouse up in 16th Street Heights. I dig the pitched roof over the door.

I’m not saying I like it, I just find it very unusual. I guess this a pop up gone bad? Anyone like this one?

Balconies like this make me wish I had one.

This is one of the coolest most unusual houses I’ve come across. I think I may have featured the door before because it definitely looks familiar. But the whole house is amazing. I particularly like the windows. And of course there are some sweet porch sculptures as well. It’s located on 28th Street near P St, NW in Georgetown.

I think it might be time to redesignate the home being renovated at Upshur and New Hampshire, formerly known as the Petworth Eyesore. While you can see it still has a ways to go, it seems the new owners are putting a ton of work into it. I definitely think removing the siding and putting up brick is a huge improvement. If they brick it up all the way around do you think we should remove the tag of eyesore from this property?
