A few commenters mentioned some sweet houses from Forest Hills that overlook the park. Here are just a couple that I thought were super cool. I love the lines on the one above.

I’ve been monitoring the progress of this new building on the 2600 block of 15th Street, NW (north of Fuller) for a number of months. Looks like it’ll be condos/apartments. And it finally looks ready to judge… Do you like the color of the brick? The building overall?

I just recently noticed this pop up on Fuller Street off 15th near the Girard Park. I guess I never noticed the pop up before because it’s a bit set back. All things considered, would you give this pop up a thumbs up or down?

I think most will agree that this architecture is beautiful. But what I found curious was that this home from 10th Street, NW had two different house numbers. Normally on one structure you’ll see 1803 and 1803 1/2 but this one has 1803 and 1801. I’d never seen one structure like this with two addresses. Anyone know the rules on something like this?

Yeah, I know it’s a bit too cold for these posts but that window and stained glass had to be recognized…

It’s been a while since we’ve judged a new building. I guess the economy and all… But I passed this one on 5th Street, NW just south of P. It looks like there are still some finishing touches going on but overall would you give it a thumbs up or down?

It’s also been a while since I’ve spotted a (new to me) carriage house. Would this be considered a proper carriage house?

It’s been a while since we’ve looked at the former “Petworth Eyesore” located at the corner of Upshur and New Hampshire. Here’s what it looked like in April 2007 and here’s what it looked like in July of this year. I have to say the difference between July and now is amazing. I’m not saying it’s my favorite renovation but it’s a hell of a lot better than what it was fixing to look like.

As I went here for grad school, I was blown away by the building. When I went there it was like a high school building from the 50s. This looks like an amazing improvement. Also it looks like they did a pretty good job matching the rendering:
