I know I’ve gone back and forth on whether or not I like glass buildings but I’m digging this one (view looking north from the bridge walking towards H St, NE). I like the building itself, but I especially like how the tracks kinda veers around it. What do you guys think – thumbs up or down?

A reader sends word that they are digging the Pop up at Room and Board (The furniture store coming to 14th and T Streets, NW). This photo is a week old but I also think it’s looking really good. You can see what it looked like pre-pop up here. What do you think – thumbs up or down? I’ll try and update with a more current photo next week.

The Rosemount Center is located at 2000 Rosemount Ave, NW in Mt. Pleasant. You can read about the school/organization here. But for this post I’m really just admiring the building. I know I’m not crazy because a lady came out of her house when I was staring at the building and said to me, “it sure is beautiful, isn’t it?”. What do you guys think?

In the spirit of Passover… Dang, I don’t have the exact address for Brian but I promise to do better on unusual homes like this in the future. I believe it is from 4th street or near M Street or a bit further north. At any rate, does anyone know why the last house is taller than the others? It doesn’t seem to be a pop up. Perhaps the originally developer built it for his family? Any guesses?

New York Ave and New Jersey Avenue NW

We haven’t played this one in a while and I will take a reader’s advice by posting it in the middle of the day to give everyone a fair shot. You’re gonna need some serious skills for this one – not only do you have to say where I am, but you also have to say what the building is? First person to get both right wins a PoP t-shirt (I’m out of size small though…).

And just out of curiosity – do you dig the building?

As regular to this site know, I can get obsessed with windows from time to time. This one in Bloomingdale blew me away. Check out the details in the corners. I’ve never seen one like this before. Pretty fresh.

From top to bottom this photo is filled with incredible detail. And then I look at the sky blue vinyl siding on my house and sigh…

This building is located at 1630 19th Street, NW and actually houses a skin clinic. Nice diggs for a clinic! Anyway I like how it blends the old with the new. Does the more modern expansion work for you?
