Some of the dog people in Mt Pleasant are “fostering” a dog and could use help finding him a great home. The story is that his “mom” found him in the streets of New Orleans where she is in college. She managed to keep him for a while, until the school found out and threatened to kick her out if he didn’t get rid of him (not sure of the details). Her mom lives here, but cant have a dog, so she reached out to a friend in Mt P, and now he is staying with a local couple and others of us are helping take care of him/find him a home. The fantastic couple that is keeping him wasnt in the market for a second dog, and they are stretched pretty thin. Here are his stats:

Ollie is a 1 yr old Pit mix, appx 55 lbs, and will probably fill out to about 65. He is super sweet, LOVES other dogs, good with kids and cats, and bonds very quickly to people that are sweet to him. His only fault is that he drools a bit at the water bowl… He is super snuggly and licky too. He has had basic training, but needs a person/people to work with him on expanding this. He is up to date on all shots, neutered and microchipped. Ollie would make a fantastic dog for someone who has the time and desire to give him the love that he needs! [email protected]

“Francene is VERY friendly, VERY smart and Very sweet! Francene is beautiful, with her silver gray stripped coat and the bottom of her paws are solid dark gray. She is full of energy and enjoys playing with her human companions and her toys; and would make a good companion for another energetic kitty. Francene is low maintenance; litter box trained; can easily entertain herself; and would make a great addition to any family. Francene is being fostered in my home through the Washington Humane Society.”
