LOST DOG:

“A recently adopted dog form our rescue got out of his family’s yard on Thursday morning (4/3) near 18th St and East Capitol St, NE. He was also seen later that day on the shoulder of Northbound 295 just after the sign for the Benning Rd exit (yes, we think he crossed 295!). The only other sighting was late morning on 3 Apr running across the bridge from RFK stadium to 295, then running up the exit ramp.”

“Dear PoP,

Here is an update on Francine, who was featured as available for adoption in the afternoon animal fix back in January.

“Francine is such a cool cat and we are so thankful she joined our home. She settled in really well and seems quite happy here. Here’s a picture of her licking her favorite spoon.”

“I found a dog yesterday in the H Street NE neighborhood. I specifically caught him on 15th St NE between D St NE and E St NE. He’s a small, in tact, tan Min Pin who reportedly was running lose in the area all afternoon. I currently am keeping him at my house in the hopes I can find his owner. Please feel free to share my e-mail address ([email protected]) as the point of contact for anyone who may recognize him or turn out to own him.”

For there in the dog bed lay this gi-normous racoon!

“I just moved into the neighborhood at Kansas and 8th and for the past few days, this cat seems to be living under my porch. She is very young, almost a kitten, with gray tabby patches and an orange tabby patch on her back leg. She is friendly, not feral, but hungry. I need help finding her owner as these thunderstorms are about to roll through! Alternately, maybe someone is interested in adopting this kitten? aertel(at)gmail”

“Bermuda is a 7 year old spayed (indoor) female with a beautiful white coat with highlights of brown and black on her face and tail, and brown highlights on each of her hind legs. She is a really laid back, relaxed, mellow girl that does not require a lot of attention. Bermuda enjoys catnip, lounging quietly in the warm sunlight, sitting on a warm lap, having her head scratched, and occasionally curling up next to you at bedtime. She is very low maintenance and litter box trained. Bermuda would prefer to be in an adult only household and an only kitty. Bermuda is being fostered in my home through the Washington Humane Society.
Please contact Yolanda at [email protected] if you are interested.”
