Dewey is a well behaved and quiet cat who is an absolute love bug once he’s overcome his timidity around new people. He would do great in a quiet house with a kitty companion or two he can play with. A playful and energetic fellow, Dewey loves toys and enjoys stalking the birds’ nest through the glass. Might your home be the forever home Dewey deserves? Lewis is a gorgeous, energetic and inquisitive puppy. He is incredibly playful and loves walks. When his foster parent lets him out of his crate, he immediately grabs his chew toy, rolls on his back, and gets a belly rub. Lewis is working on his leash manners and would thrive with someone who would help him learn. He is very energetic, and he is also a sweet, loving boy who enjoys the occasional cuddle and kiss. Lewis’s playfulness will bring his new family adventures every day! Check out his video and apply here:  https://petstablished.com/pets/public/128003.  City Dogs:  http://www.citydogsrescuedc.org/

“This is Yellow, affectionately renamed “Yayo” by our three year old. He was feral in Columbia Heights but since we moved to Takoma Park (and I trapped and snipped him), he has become a cat dog.”

“Miso is a 5 months old Chow Chow living in Chinatown/Penn Quarter. She arrived in DC a few weeks ago and is still trying to get used to the weather! Though she can be mistaken for a small bear at times, people are still super friendly! She loves cheese curds and Taiwanese sausages — and the hoomans who feed her! More pics can be found on Instagram at miso.the.chow!”

“BoBo is an approximately 5-year-old Hound / Shar-Pei mix, rescued from a high-kill shelter in West Virginia. BoBo is a very gentle, loving boy who only wants to be petted and loved. He likes everyone he meets! He is great with other dogs and with cats. He does have some wrinkly skin issues, but loves his baths. He needs daily eye drops, too. But the love he gives is worth the little extra effort! If you are interested in adopting BoBo, please contact Linda Baker, at [email protected]

“Waterfall is one extraordinary kitty! He was found in a ditch, severely injured and sick, but a wonderful animal control officer, the staff of a big city shelter, and King Street Cats all knew he was worth saving. After losing an eye, having major injuries, parasites, and all manner of difficulties, this happy boy SINGS when he plays. What a trouper! His foster mom says that, in addition to his obvious handsomeness, Waterfall has a big personality, a joyful spirit, and a gentle soul. He loves playing and running around but also loves to be held so he can snuggle up really close.

Waterfall would do best in a house with other cats, but no dogs. He is still scared of dogs and loud noises, and prefers having some company. To find out more about Waterfall and to apply to adopt him, please check out his website.”
