Hi my name is Corrine. I am just getting use to “living the life of luxury” in a foster home, thanks to the pawsome folks at Homeward Trails! I am house trained, however, in somewhere new, I will probably need a few reminders where is the right place to take care of business. I may seem scared when I first meet someone but I really am a sweet, energetic, and fun dog. Once I get to know you I really like to go, go , go – I would be great for someone who likes to run or take long walks, perfect for spring! I do like to investigate everything with my mouth but I am learning toys are wonderful, specially the squeaky ones that are soft. A game of tug with my other dog friends is fun, but I am slow to warm up to them. When you take the time to get to know me I really like snuggling up and enjoy lots of kisses. You can find out more about adopting me by emailing my friend Audrey at [email protected] or check me out here.

A cool dude just like his namesake, Manfred is talkative, affectionate, and playful lap cat. He loves his ball, his toy pretzel, catnip sticks, and looking out the windows. Manfred is well-mannered in all the kitty functions, and he uses his scratcher for his manicures. Manfred was rescued as a stray in Northern Virginia, and he is very glad to be inside safe from the cold. He loves to cuddle with his foster humans, but he badly wants his own forever family. He gets along very well with other cats, but he is afraid of dogs. We estimate that Manfred is about 5 years old. He is microchipped, neutered, up to date on all his shots, and tested negative for feline leukemia/FIV. This handsome and loving boy would be a wonderful addition to your home! Please email [email protected] to find out about adopting Manfred, or check out his webpage here.

Pearl is a jewel of a dog! She is soft, fluffy, and loving. This petite senior likes to be cuddled and held. She loves to be with people and does well with other dogs too. She likes going for walks around the neighborhood and then curling up on the couch for a nap. She appears to be house-trained and is trustworthy when left home alone.

Carson is an amazingly sweet cat who has had some bad luck, but things are definitely looking up for him now. He suffered from a condition that left his gums painful and inflamed. Believe it or not, the veterinary solution to the condition is removing all the teeth! Carson has had the surgery, is feeling much much better, and has bounced back really well. He doesn’t require any special dental care now – and just think how much his new family will save on annual dental cleanings!

Carson has the softest fur and the gentlest manner. He is bit shy, but given a calm space and a little patience, he will turn on the charm and purr up a storm. A gentle presence who keeps a pretty low profile during the day, he is perfectly happy to sleep in a sunny window bird-watching or to nap under the bed. Come evening, after he has spent the day guarding your home from those pesky birds, he definitely enjoys hanging out with you when you come home from work Carson has a heart murmur which needs periodic monitoring, but does not require medication at this time. If you want an adorable, quiet companion, you have to meet Carson – he is waiting to share his charms with you!
