Daisy is a healthy older girl who loves head rubs and comfy beds!

She would prefer a quiet home with not a lot of hustle and bustle or strangers in and out. She is fully housebroken, enjoys the outdoors, and is very laid back. Daisy is a special old girl who deserves a perfect home to fit her needs. She needs to be the only pet in the home and would do best in a home with a yard.

To learn more about Daisy, contact Gray Faces Acres Senior Dog Rescue.

Primrose is a sweet one year old girl. After a couple of weeks in her foster home, she turned into a huge cuddle bug, sleeping with her foster every night and constantly looking for pets. She purrs loudly to show you how happy she is being pet and cuddled! Her favorite activities are chasing after toy mice and balls, and staring at herself in the mirror.

PLEASE NOTE: Prim underwent a back leg amputation a month ago. After a month of recovery, she is fully mobile. Prim isn’t looking for any special treatment because of her disability! Just note that learning to jump up on new things with varying heights may take her some time, but once she gets the hang of it, she’ll never stop jumping up and down. Her hair is beginning to grow back which may take up to a couple of months.

To learn more about Prim, please contact her foster, Hailey, at [email protected]. She is available for adoption through Last Chance Animal Rescue.

If you’re looking for a dog with a big smile and an even bigger heart, then look no further! Surrendered to a shelter in rural Virginia when his owner decided they had too many dogs (is that even possible?!), Axel made his way to DC in search of a new forever home. He is housebroken and sleeps in a crate overnight. Axel is incredibly smart and knows basic commands and even learned to get his harness on demand for walks!

If you are interested in learning more about Axel, adoptable through Homeward Trails, email [email protected].

Gene Simmons (aka Simmons) is a handsome, gentle boy who deserves a home as sweet as he is! Found as a stray with a bad eye injury, it had to be removed. He’s healing well and cats tend to adjust quickly to a loss of an eye. Simmons starts of shy with new people, but he loves to be pet and to purr. He just arrived to rescue so we’re still getting to know him!

If you are interested in learning more about Simmons, available through Homeward Trails, please email Shana at [email protected].
