So what do you think of this one. I’ve received a few more and people are kicking it up a notch! Do you like the memorials in the background or should there be rowhomes? You can still submit entries until this Thursday.

On a related note if you sent in an entry be sure to come to the next PoP happy hour Wed. the 21st at Looking Glass Lounge so I can give you a PoP t-shirt.

The entrant writes: “I tried to make the frogs sort of represent what I would imagine you to be as a frog walking around Petworth and the surrounding area befriending everyone.” If you vote for this one let me know if you prefer it in black and white or in color? Check out another version after the jump. (more…)

It is that time of year. Time to drink yourself silly, meet some of your neighbors and make fun of PoP in person! Who can ask for more? The folks at Looking Glass Lounge have been kind enough to extend happy hour prices all night long. Additionally, manager Dan Searing, will be offering Mojito specials to mark the occasion. This happy hour is fixing to be the biggest one yet. I’ll remind folks again as the date approaches.

Now for a small admin note. Some folks who leave a comment are placed in “moderation”. Let me just say, I have no idea why this happens to some people and not others. It is nothing personal and hopefully the comments get published pretty quickly. I apologize for the inconvenience and hope one day to have it fixed. Thanks for understanding.

A commenter suggested that I spruce up the PoP frog logo a bit. I think it’s a great idea. I can’t offer much to the winner except for eternal gratitude and bragging rights. All entries will receive a PoP t-shirt. So the only parameters are that the logo be a frog, it has some sort of crown and the flag of DC in the logo somehow. Email me your entries directly at [email protected]. Let’s see if we have some creative readers out there. I’ll post the entries and we can have an informal vote on the winner. Good luck and thanks in advance.

To help deal with a spam problem I’ve been having, when leaving a comment you’ll notice there is a new line to fill in. On this new fourth line simply write Petworth. Thanks.
