Thanks to all who helped capture the events of today. I’m overwhelmed by how many folks responded. I appreciate every message sent, even if I wasn’t able to post every one. So please continue to send me your photos again tomorrow from the Women’s March.  For those on the streets, in the bars, on the Mall, where ever you are, if you see something of interest please send all tips, stories and photos (preferably via email) to [email protected] or tweet me @PoPville on Twitter here, or message me on Facebook here. And of course photos are always welcome and appreciated from Flickr here and Instagram here I again look forward to sharing your stories and observations. And, as always, I thank you for allowing me to do so.

your stories

Long time readers know, I usually follow the Feds schedule in terms of when I post but obviously tomorrow and Saturday are different. I’ll be locked onto my computer pretty much nonstop both days providing reader and official updates. Coverage will be 95% Inauguration/Protests/Women’s March and 5% photos of animals. So for those on the streets, in the bars, on the Mall, where ever you are, if you see something of interest please send all tips, stories and photos (preferably via email) to [email protected] or tweet me @PoPville on Twitter here, or message me on Facebook here. And of course photos are always welcome and appreciated from Flickr here and Instagram here I’m wishing everyone a safe, productive and fulfilling experience. I look forward to sharing your stories and observations. And I thank you for allowing me to do so.

2016

In 2016 we had about 25,000,000 page views. If you take away PoPville.com and PoPville.com/page/2, PoPville.com/page/3, PoPville.com/page/4, PoPville.com/page/5, PoPville.com/page/6 and PoPville.com/page/7 the following was the most visited page on the site in 2016. Sadly not the most uplifting story…

“An Open Letter – A Retrospective Look at Living in Columbia Heights”

Our future is (mostly) what we, independently and collectively, choose to make of it. Looking forward to our conversations, questions, debates, rants and revels in 2017. Wishing all a happy and a healthy!! And don’t forget about the free metro and taxis on New Year’s Eve (metro beginning at midnight on January 1, with free service until close at 3 a.m.) Cheers!
