Located at 839 Kennedy Street NW, Eight 39 is a new condo building with residences currently available for sale.

With prices starting in the $350,000s and preferred lenders offering 0% down for qualified applicants, this is a perfect opportunity for first-time homebuyers. Why rent when you can own?

Each one- and two-bedroom unit is bright and light-filled, complete with premium, modern finishes — from quartz kitchen countertops and two-tone cabinetry to Porcelanosa bathroom tiles. Each unit has its own washer/dryer, and some units come with a private deck.

The building itself offers a number of amenities. For some fresh air, head up to the community rooftop and take in views of the city. If you need to destress, sweat it out in the fitness room, complete with a yoga studio. There’s even a dog-wash station for Fido.

Step outside the building, and you’ll find yourself in the heart of Petworth. You’ll have access to a wide variety of restaurants, bars and breweries in the area. When the weather is nice, walk to one of the many parks or recreation areas, where you can play tennis or even take a swim. There’s also a conveniently located Safeway for grocery runs, and the Fort Totten Metro is a 30-minute walk (or 10-minute bike ride) away.

To date, 50% of Phase I has already sold. If you’re interested in one of these units, schedule a tour by visiting www.Eight39DC.com or calling 202-967-0039.

“Stretch out in this roomy 1 bedroom spanning 850 square feet on a sunny second floor. You will love the charm of the archways, built-in entryway bench, dining room tray ceiling and wainscoting.”

Surrounded by the excitement and movement of North Bethesda, the Linden Oak stands tall amidst the green of Rock Creek Regional Park. One of the tallest white oak trees in the country, and dating back to before America was a country (c. 1718), the Linden Oak is an enduring example of why North Bethesda is such a wonderful place to call home.

Three commemorative plaques have been placed in the Linden Oak’s honor. As it was being built, the Metro’s Red Line was curved around the area to prevent any disturbance of the tree. And just down the road, mere minutes from the Linden Oak’s hallowed roots and historic shade, are The Townes at Grosvenor Place.

This Executive Townhome community is ready to go down in history, but not for being old-fashioned. Much like one of the Grosvenor family’s most famous descendants, Alexander Graham Bell (yes, the Alexander Graham Bell), these townhomes are full of state-of-the-art features and forward-thinking design.

As soon as you step into your brand-new home at The Towns at Grosvenor Place, you’ll instantly feel a sense of space thanks to the 9′ ceilings on every level. Stride across the wide-plank hardwood flooring and into your dedicated home office — no more having to improvise a work-at-home cloffice (closet office) for you!

The much adored Dupont Circle Turkish spot, Ankara, has recently announced that it will be reopening as a Levantine concept ala, on March 1. The word itself means “a blend of all the colors” in Turkish, which is exactly what the concept hopes to accomplish.

Ala will offer a colorful experience that will welcome one and all to enjoy their elegant and flavorful offerings. Wondering what to expect from their rebrand? To pair with the meal, a $19 drink add on allows you the chance to have 2 paired Levantine cocktails and 2 paired wine glasses throughout your ala dining experience. Plus, if the pairing doesn’t intrigue you, you can choose instead to enjoy unlimited house wine, beer and mixed drinks for the same $19. Most importantly, ala will still offer Bottomless Brunch!
