Hell of an intricate paper-mache sculpture for one’s porch, yeah?

I thought these houses just east of 14th Street on Riggs were public housing. But check out the Web site for this house for sale. It looks incredible on the inside. According to the Web site this house is going for $674,900. Wow. Does public housing ever go for sale at market rates? Anyone know the story here?

As I’ve mentioned before I tend to wander in alleys from time to time because I’m not a normal person. But never mind that. While wandering in an alley behind 10th and Quincy I discovered a huge triangle garden with sunflowers and vegetables. It was gigantic. Do all the folks whose houses abut this giant triangle take care of the garden? It is pretty sweet. And certainly like nothing I’ve ever stumbled upon before.

I’m just saying…

So far the bbq experts out there what are the benefits to drum barbecuing?

A classic. Also a good mix of lawn and flowers.

Well, they built a wooden back stairway. And mowed the lawn. But it’s been pretty slow going. Anyone think it’ll ever be completed?

A difficult choice on this block but I choose this one.

I think this may be the oddest thing I’ve seen locked up. I have no doubt someone would steal it. Hmm, why don’t I see more of these locked up around town?
