Above photo of dancers and O’Tasty

Thanks to everyone who came out despite the less than ideal weather. Thanks to all who bought me beers. To all who bought me shots – I hate you. Thanks to Matt and Rose for offering up Wonderland as the venue. Thanks to Reya who is by far one of the coolest bartenders in town. A very special thanks to Milkmachine who set the scene with an awesome opening set. Finally, I’d like to thank O’Tasty who made this party what it was. For those who have never heard O’Tasty they are the best local band in town. If you like the Pogues and Dropkick Murphys – you’d love O’Tasty so make sure you catch them the next time they play. The absolutely rocked Wonderland last night. And of course thanks again to all who came out to help celebrate.

Packed house:

How do you chose what neighborhood to live in? I’ve been thinking about this a bit lately, wondering how people chose to live in Bloomingdale vs. Petworth or H Street, NE or Mt. Pleasant vs. Columbia Heights or Adams Morgan etc. For me, it came to down price. I was able to get a much nicer place in Petworth than in Columbia Heights where I was originally looking. What sealed the deal for me was that the neighborhood was so close to Columbia Heights, U Street and my place of work at the time. I then discovered all the great attributes of Petworth. So what are the most important issues to you when choosing a neighborhood – proximity to work, nearby friends, close to nightlife, safety, schools, rent/mortgage costs and/or quality of housing stock?

This carriage house has had quite the history. A few years ago it seemed to be fixed up then it seemed to have fallen in disrepair and now it looks like it’s getting fixed up again. I’ve seen workmen around the site over the past few weekends and I’m pretty sure this is a new paint job. It seems like a nice property so it’d be cool to see it back on the market.

This piece is located on New Hampshire Ave. in front of an apartment building a few blocks away from Dupont Circle.

I had checked out the healing center back in June. It is definitely worth checking out.

There’s lots of potential in this beauty. It also happens to sit off a small circle called Anna J. Cooper Circle, located at 3rd and T Streets NW, that is wicked sweet.

I’ve always wondered how they come up with these maximum occupancy numbers. This is from the Starbucks on Georgia Ave. by Howard University. So why do they say 199 instead of 200? Or 198 for that matter?
