Here are some cool pictures of the interior of the 3DG project and future home of the Meridian Pint bar. For those who don’t recall you can read the interview I did with Meridian Pint owner Jon Andrade here.

They’ve been digging out the basement:

Thanks to a reader for sending this link to DC Mud:

“DC Offers $10 million…….The last project announced – and only non-Ward 8
development named – was the Neighborhood Development Company’s The Heights on
Georgia Avenue. Located at 3232 Georgia Avenue NW, the $25 million project
will receive $742,000 in TIF credits. With 10,000 square feet of retail
(possibly to include a hardware store and sit-down restaurant) and 70
residential units, NDC hopes to start building late next year.”

Did anyone sample the Dutch-Puffs that were cooking on the outdoor patio of Dos Gringos? They looked pretty good but, sadly, I had already eaten. Anyone ever hear of these before? I was told if the weather isn’t too cold, they’ll be available next weekend as well.

This is the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church located at 8th and N Streets.

This is a cool rowhouse but I was particularly struck by the detail in the window frames.

These signs were up last year as well, I guess this building at the end of Mt. Pleasant Street puts up these signs every winter? I think it’s fantastic.

This is the Lamont Lofts located at 701 Lamont Street, NW. I think it looks pretty good. I’m especially digging the balconies and big windows. What do you think – thumbs up or down?
