At long last now we know what people are talking about when they reference the big chair in Anacostia! Perhaps the most random site I’ve seen in a while.

Ok, it might be apartments but I’m a sucker for old school fire escapes.
This is the newly refurbished spot next to Marvin on 14th and U. I ran into one of the construction managers who told me the name of this spot will be Patty Boom Boom. It’ll be a night club/restaurant. The construction manager told me that it still has a long ways to go before it opens. I’ll update as more info becomes available.

I think I know what folks are gonna say about this one… But what has me especially flummoxed is that this building is on the 2100 or 2200 block of O Street which is posh as hell. Here’s a contrast of what it looks like against a dope rowhouse:

I first noted this condo because of their prison like doors. But now looking at the photos it looks like they did a good job. Both units have 2 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms. I’ve never heard of that before. Unit #1 is offered at $499,000. Unit #2 is offered at $599,000. I’m a little concerned that it says being sold “as is”. Do you think the price reflects that?
