This is a new one for me but I dig it:

“Dear PoP,

Smell isn’t always the primary sense one appreciates in a city, but it can be marvelous. There is a bush of these fragrant little fruits that you can smell from the path in Meridian Hill park, near the Serenity statue (the poor chipped-up marble lady on the west side of the upper park.) They smell like what you wished candy really smelled like, Juliet, or small flowers from a tenuous habitat. Light, sparkling, grapefruity & clovey. I’m pretty sure these are quince fruits, but still suffering ptsd from a childhood taste of green persimmon, I haven’t the nerve to taste.”

Are these quinces?

This house is so sick I thought it was a Church. Nope it’s a house. It’s one from the amazing Normanstone-Woodland neighborhood.

Sorry for the admin question but as I’m making the coolest Pet in PoPville t-shirts I’m also re-ordering regular PoP t-shirts. So my question is – would you like a new design or should I stick with the v-neck style (pictured above from PoP t-shirts continue to travel the globe)? If I stick with the v-neck style should I stick with green or another color? Or just do a completely new design? If anyone has any design ideas, shoot me an email please.

It’s been a while since we’ve judged a building. Walking downtown I was stopped in my tracks. It is located at the corner of 6th and F Streets, NW. It opened Oct. 1st, 2007. There is a conversation with the architect, Jack Diamond, here. You can see some photos inside here. Thumbs up or down? Anyone see a play there?

This condo is located at 1390 V Street, NW:

I’ve been curious to see the condos inside this building, the Langston Lofts. It is a pretty killer location. But what do you think of the condo itself? Does $389,998 sound reasonable for this 1 bed/1 bath?

There is also a 1 bed/1.5 bath for $452,900.

And a 2 bed/2.5 bath for $519,900.

Oh crap, this is very bad of me. I just called the store, from Saf’s comment, and they said they’d be open tomorrow. This is where language barrier is a problem. I spoke to a worker yesterday at the restaurant, who said the store was closing, but English was not his first language and it seems I completely misunderstood. I take total blame here. I’ll walk by the restaurant again today to get some more clarity. On the phone they said, they’d be open tomorrow but I’ll quadruple check. I’m terribly sorry for the confusion.
