“Dear PoPville,
Our Russian tortoise, Piotr ( named after Peter the Great) has gone walkabout. Last seen a week ago at 32nd and Klingle Road, perhaps heading for Rock Creek Park. He has lived with us for 27 happy years; we and our neighbors, local schools, as well as everyone we see walking, jogging, or dog walking we can corral has been asked to be on the look out.”
Ed. Note: Please send any sightings/tips to me at [email protected] and I’ll pass on to OP. Thanks!

Must be here in person, numbered wristbands are being handed out. At 6:30, numbers will determine who gets opportunity to buy tickets for $30 but that is when you have to enter the venue.” (more…)

“Dear PoPville,
I wanted to share a moment of joy from Friday night. After a lovely evening on Mt. Pleasant St. that started with happy hour at OKPB and turned into dinner at Martha Dear, I happened upon a screening of Las Muertes Más Bellas del Mundo (The Most Beautiful Deaths in the World) in Lamont Plaza — a documentary about the Salvadoran diaspora in DC.
