Holy cow, the gas station at 15th and U has Slush Puppies. I haven’t had one of the years in years. I thought for sure they went out of business. They are the gold standard of sugary frozen drinks. Slush puppie would be to Slurpie as Chateau Neuf de Pape would be to Mad Dog. (Ed note: I am assuming Chateau Neuf de Pape is good wine because it is from a Beastie Boys song.) Point is Slush Puppies are damn good and I can’t believe they still exist. I highly recommend Blue Raspberry.

Something went down around 6:30ish. As you can see there were tons of cop cars. When I went to inquire with a city worker (not a cop) if he knew what happened, he replied “yes, it is a police incident.” So I’m glad we got that all cleared up.

Now I don’t ask a lot from you guys but this is something that I think would be really cool. If any of you have had your homes renovated I’d love to post some pictures of your renovations. Last week my block had those signs up: “no parking – tree maintenance.” Ok, that is cool. But you can’t fool Murphy. Apparently in the storm last night, an old tree one block over lost a huge limb. You can fool some trees some of the time but you can’t fool all trees all of the time or something like that.

but I had to share with you the greatest tacos I’ve ever eaten in my life. I was a little upset about the pizza controversy so I decided to grab a bite at a place I know we all love. El Limeno on the 200 block of Upshur is the greatest! I had shrimp, steak, and chicken tacos for $8.95 and the service was impeccable. So if you haven’t been to El Limeno yet, you are insane. It is really that good. Unassuming on the outside but ridiculously good food on the inside.
