Breakdancing meets Bach? It does when The Flying Steps, a German b-boy troupe, performs to Johann Sebastian Bach’s “The Well-Tempered Clavier” at the Warner Theater January 6-8.

Red Bull Flying Bach, seen by 400,000 people in 31 countries, revolves around a story of six dancers being pushed by their demanding teacher as they rehearse for a major production. Arguments, resolutions, disappointments, and triumphs ensue, echoed by the music’s crescendos and dips and the constant shifting of dance tempos.

“Combining urban culture with classical influences is an incredible type of street art that we are excited to share with Washington D.C.,” said Vartan Bassil, who founded The Flying Steps in 1993 and teamed with conductor Christoph Hagel– a former student of Leonard Bernstein–to create the show in 2010. “It’s an opportunity to demonstrate that our members are not just break dancers — we are artists.”

Red Bull Flying Bach will be performing at the Warner Theater at 513 13th St. NW, in the Penn Quarter neighborhood, from Friday, Jan. 6 through Sunday, Jan. 8.

Now’s your chance to learn why The Macallan, the “Rolls-Royce of single malts,” has been a popular spirit since 1824.

Guests at this private tasting event will kick off the evening with a cocktail reception and hors d’oeuvres. Next up, a presentation from The Macallan ambassador — where you’ll learn the secrets behind the award-winning rare cask (hint: oak and sherry barrels along with unusually small copper stills). Then the tastings begin.

The events will take place from November 2-4 at the Andrew W. Mellon Auditorium, the massive neoclassical landmark on 14th Street and Constitution Avenue in the Federal Triangle.

washington DC real estate for sale

[sponsored_by name=”Homezen” url=”https://www.myhomezen.com/hello” logo=”https://www.popville.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/09/Screen-Shot-2016-09-19-at-10.16.50-AM.png” byline=”Like turbotax for selling your home, Homezen saves you thousands by making it easy to sell your home without an agent.” attribution_name=”BlankSlate” attribution_url=”http://www.blankslate.com/”]

Sellers in DC pay real estate agents over $800 per hour in commissions. That’s more than most doctors and lawyers, and for a lot less work.

Let’s break down the numbers. In D.C. the median home value is $550,000. With the 6% that agents take for every sale, that’s $33,000 directly out of your pocket when you sell your home.

Here’s how the process looks for most people. After deciding to sell that townhouse or condo, you look at a few new houses online and assume the first step is to call a real estate agent. And they tell you that you’d never be capable of selling your home without an agent.

But you can sell your home without an agent and put thousands of dollars back in your pocket. In fact, many homeowners already do, and it just got easier.

Enter Homezen – an online platform and team of experts that helps you sell your home without an agent, saving you $15,000 – $35,000 in the process.

Unlike real estate agents, Homezen helps you sell your home without the high price tag. They walk you through each step, with helpful tips, tools and support. Homezen helps you decide your sales price, get your home ready to sell and lists your home on the major websites buyers use. They even send out a professional photographer to take great photos, give you all the legal paperwork you need, and are there for you through closing.

Now the only question is, what are you going to do with all the money you saved?

Contact Homezen today.
