ArtRave is excited to announce a special cultural artisan fair on Saturday, August 24th at their Dupont Circle venue (1913 Mass Ave, where PNC Bank, Connecticut and P Street meet) from 11 am to 5 pm. ArtRave and another group will cover 2 blocks showcasing amazing artisan works from different countries! For 16 years, ArtRave has curated shows that effectively bring out diversity inspired by cultural backgrounds. When asked recently about their motivation, they answered, “It’s the best way to lower the temperature of hate so reason may arise!” One artisan added that the diverse artisan backgrounds make it feel like “a league of nations” culturally. This includes notable upcoming shows like Art All Night, which usually attracts around 3,000 attendees, and ArtRave’s Dec. 1st Christmas Extravaganza, where an average of around 10,000 shoppers has been seen over the last two seasons. A key component of participating in our shows is the guidance and curated experience we provide to help elevate your presentation to a highly professional level. Got leftover paint that you no longer need? Recycle it! PaintCare is hosting a free and convenient leftover paint drop-off and giveaway event at Ida B. Wells Middle School (405 Sheridan St NW, Washington, D.C. 20011) on August 10th from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Households may bring any amount of house paint or primer, stain, or clear finishes. Paint must be in a sealed container with the original manufacturer label. We cannot accept aerosol coatings, solvents, or other hazardous waste. Businesses who wish to drop-off paint must qualify as exempt generator under federal and any analogous state hazardous waste generator rules.
