Bernie - Lucky Dog

Bernie – Lucky Dog Animal Rescue
This handsome pup, Bernie, is a 1-2 year old Boxer/Shepherd mix Lucky Dog Animal Rescue.  Bernie is an energetic pup that would love to go running or play a game of fetch with you!  He has a lot of love to give, and after a long day, wants nothing more than to be your best friend and get belly rubs.  To adopt Bernie, please fill out our adoption questionnaire (available here) and send it to Cynthia  If you think he would be a good foster pup, please contact us here.  We have many adoptable animals, so please feel free come check us out at one of our events!

Wavy - Tails High

Wavy – Tails High, Inc.

Wavy is a sweet, young girl from Tails High, Inc.  Wavy loves to follow her people around, curl up at their feet, and be held.  She squeaks excitedly for food and when she sees pups, and will purr endlessly and knead for hours if given a soft blanket.  She’s great with other cats, people of all ages, and probably pups too!  Also, Wavy’s coat lives up to her name – she just had a haircut before her pic!  If you would like to adopt Wavy, please complete our adoption application on our website.  You can also visit us at one of our upcoming events!

Clovis - City Dogs

Clovis – City Dogs Rescue

Clovis is quite the playful 1-2 year-old English/Redtick Coonhound mix from City Dogs Rescue.  This beautiful boy is good with other dogs, does well in a crate (accident free!), and has started to learn his basic commands.  Clovis’s perfect day would be plenty of exercise and play time with his people, other pups, or toys, and giving his people lots of wags.  You can apply to adopt Clovis or any of our available dogs on our adoption page, apply to foster one of our pups here, or meet some of our pups at one of our upcoming events!

More adoptable pets after the jump.

Millie - Homeward Trails

Millie – Homeward Trails Animal Rescue

Millie is an energetic, loving, active 6-year old cat from Homeward Trails Animal Rescue.  She loves people, food, feather wands, and races through the house chasing imaginary prey.  Affection is her middle name, and yes, she even gives her people kisses with her kitty licks!  She would be so very happy to be your only girl and give you the love of many.  If you’re interested in adopting Millie, please fill out our cat adoption questionnaire and send it here.  You can also meet some of our adoptable animals at one of our events!

Pierce - Rural Dog Rescue

Pierce – Rural Dog Rescue

Pierce is a super-cute 1-year old chiweenie from Rural Dog Rescue.  Pierce is one happy pup that loves toys, raw hides, walks, runs, and snuggling on the couch with his people.  Pierce wants to do whatever you want to do!  Pierce is crate trained and is learning his commands.  He would love to be with adults or a family with older children, gets along with pups, and isn’t phased by feline friends.  You can apply to adopt Pierce, or any of our animals, by sending the adoption application here.  To foster, please send the foster application here.  Our next adoption event is this Saturday, Sept. 28th, at Howl to the Chief from noon until 3pm.

Potomac Harmony is Back! Following a gap year of competing, then virtual rehearsals during the pandemic, followed by the well-earned retirement of our long-term director, a year of a director search, Potomac Harmony hit the regional contest stage in Concord, North Carolina in March for the first time since 2018! It was exhilarating, reaffirming, and rewarding!

The chorus hit all of its goals, the biggest of which was to have fun and sing our best on contest stage — we did both! Because we earned a score over 400 points, our new Director, Allison Lynskey, was awarded the Novice Director award, photo above. Additionally, one of our charter members, Jackie Bottash, was nominated for and honored with the Leadership Excellence award. It was a celebratory weekend!

What’s next? So much! We now look forward to upcoming performances, growing our membership, and expanding our musical product with new arrangements and an education component each week. It’s an exciting time to be part of this ever-growing ensemble!
