Sculpt DC (formerly the Art of Spyn), Cycle & Yoga studio, is officially opening on Monday, September 24th. Their website says:

Sculpt DC, DC’s premiere fitness destination, invites you to experience the city’s first indoor cycling and yoga studio located at 950 F Street NW opening September 2012.

Sculpt DC was designed for people looking to take their fitness to the next level and that value their health and time. The studio provides a balanced approach to all your fitness needs with a brilliant combination of cycling, strength training and yoga.

Sculpt DC features 2 studios, a patron’s lounge, locker facilities with showers and a lifestyle retail boutique in over 5,000 square feet of space. Our state of the art cycling studio is equipped with the latest bikes as well as a customized audio-visual system to complement your riding experience. Our cycling classes provide a full body workout with core work and hand weights to tone the upper body. The yoga studio was designed with careful consideration of your practice in mind, and provides the perfect respite from your hectic day. Enjoy the latest in fitness in a beautiful modern setting.

Potomac Harmony is Back! Following a gap year of competing, then virtual rehearsals during the pandemic, followed by the well-earned retirement of our long-term director, a year of a director search, Potomac Harmony hit the regional contest stage in Concord, North Carolina in March for the first time since 2018! It was exhilarating, reaffirming, and rewarding!

The chorus hit all of its goals, the biggest of which was to have fun and sing our best on contest stage — we did both! Because we earned a score over 400 points, our new Director, Allison Lynskey, was awarded the Novice Director award, photo above. Additionally, one of our charter members, Jackie Bottash, was nominated for and honored with the Leadership Excellence award. It was a celebratory weekend!

What’s next? So much! We now look forward to upcoming performances, growing our membership, and expanding our musical product with new arrangements and an education component each week. It’s an exciting time to be part of this ever-growing ensemble!
