Listings: Here are the listings from 2006 (first) and the most recent one. Unfortunately, the virtual tour is no longer active from the first listing so you can’t see the “before” pics. To see the lovely renovation, click the camera icon at top left of the 2nd listing.

Back in 2006, I headed a team with Re/Max and one of my licensed assistants represented the (then) buyer (now seller) of this property when it was in need of a lot of TLC. It’s a big house with a large lot, great bones and an even better view. The (then) buyers employed one of my favorite financing tools…a rehab loan…and it looks like they put it to good use. In 2006, they paid $520,000. and got back $10,000. toward closing. I forget how many other offers there were at the time, but the list price was $500,000.

In any case, the PoP GDoN commenters were rough on this one, so some will probably be surprised that it actually sold over $800,000., but it did.

Potomac Harmony is Back! Following a gap year of competing, then virtual rehearsals during the pandemic, followed by the well-earned retirement of our long-term director, a year of a director search, Potomac Harmony hit the regional contest stage in Concord, North Carolina in March for the first time since 2018! It was exhilarating, reaffirming, and rewarding!

The chorus hit all of its goals, the biggest of which was to have fun and sing our best on contest stage — we did both! Because we earned a score over 400 points, our new Director, Allison Lynskey, was awarded the Novice Director award, photo above. Additionally, one of our charter members, Jackie Bottash, was nominated for and honored with the Leadership Excellence award. It was a celebratory weekend!

What’s next? So much! We now look forward to upcoming performances, growing our membership, and expanding our musical product with new arrangements and an education component each week. It’s an exciting time to be part of this ever-growing ensemble!
