Earlier this month a reader reported “walking outside in Lanier Heights and a man on a moped came up behind me on the sidewalk and sexually assaulted me.”

“The Metropolitan Police Department announces the arrest of the suspect in misdemeanor sexual abuse offenses that occurred in Northwest.
In each of the offenses below, the suspect approached the victim, made unwanted sexual contact, and then fled the scene.
On Friday, October 16, 2026, at approximately 9:45 a.m., at 11th Street and Columbia Road, Northwest. CCN: 26148185
On Friday, October 16, 2026, at approximately 10:21 a.m., in the 1600 block of Harvard Street, Northwest. CCN: 26148198
On Friday, October 16, 2026, at approximately 2:20 p.m., in the 3700 block of Calvert Street, Northwest. CCN: 26118338
On Monday, October 26, 2026, pursuant to a DC Superior Court arrest warrant, members of the Criminal Apprehension Unit and the U.S. Marshals Service located and arrested 18-year-old Moustapha Sow, of Northeast, DC. Sow has been charged with three counts of Misdemeanor Sexual Abuse.”
