One of the favorite games I’d play with my son when he was a toddler was to ride our bike past Logan Circle on the way from Friendship Heights to Nats Park and count the pigeons roosting on Logan. 5, 10, maybe 20 on a good day. It was all good fun and today he is a math wiz. They are now gone replaced by lollygagging Federales.
I wonder if poisoning pigeons in the park (apologies to Tom Lehrer) is part of the NPS beautification effort. The photos show not a one. Was it just a bad day for pigeons or are they gone forever?
