Prior to Mola the space was home to Mokinbird abruptly closed here in April 2022 and Donburi which closed in February 2022.
Updates when we learn what becomes of the space.

“Mola Empanada’s FIRST BRICK & MORTAR IN ADAMS MORGAN! 🎉
We’ve started serving these Panamanian-inspired bites over a year ago in every weather as a little pop-up. You’d always see us with our two tables, two induction stoves, two insulated bags filled with empanadas and patacones, and two huge smiles waiting to serve you great food! 😋
We’re excited to continue pan-frying the delicious frituras and introduce newer menu items for you all to enjoy.
Help us perfect our operations at Mola Empanada’s SOFT OPENINGS this weekend, starting TODAY, 7/29 at 3pm at our new location! We’ll be open again on Saturday and Sunday, and then continue delivering the festive bites from Thursdays to Sundays, 3pm – 10pm, until we expand our days and times.
