From a press release:

“Redbrick LMD announced today that FlowWell Yoga + Wellness, one of Washington, D.C.’s fastest-growing yoga communities, will open a new pop-up studio called The Sanctuary at the Bridge District at 650 Howard Road SE.

Since 2022, FlowWell Yoga + Wellness has built one of the region’s fastest-growing yoga communities by bringing affordable, inclusive programming to

parks, museums, community centers and other nontraditional spaces. What began as a mission to make wellness more accessible has grown into a movement that has engaged more than 9,000 participants across Washington, D.C. Through classes, events and partnerships, FlowWell is working to democratize well-being and ensure more people can experience the physical, mental and emotional benefits of yoga.

“The Sanctuary represents the next chapter of FlowWell’s journey to make wellness more accessible for every Washingtonian,” said Stephon Bradberry, founder and CEO of FlowWell Yoga + Wellness. “For the past four years, we’ve built our community by bringing yoga to the people: from museums and parks to hotels and even The Bullpen. Opening at Bridge District gives our homegrown community a place to flourish — one where people can gather, heal, grow, and connect. Our mission is clear: Do Justice, Get Free. We are so excited to partner with Redbrick as we build our future fueled by personal embodiment, in pursuit of collective change.”

The new location marks a major milestone for FlowWell, providing a dedicated home for the organization’s growing community and expanding its offerings with classes led by experienced instructors, affordable membership options and programming designed to support physical, mental and emotional well-being.

“We are honored that FlowWell Yoga + Wellness chose the Bridge District for its next chapter,” said Carmen Strauchon, Vice President of Development at Redbrick LMD. “Stephon’s unmatchable energy and inspiring presence will be a fantastic addition to our growing neighborhood. FlowWell is the latest homegrown success story to join our lineup of local retail concepts that show off D.C.’s incredible diversity and talent.”

Located at the foot of the Frederick Douglass Memorial Bridge, the Bridge District is a dynamic eight-acre mixed-use development featuring residential living, retail, public parkland and recreation space. Adjacent to a 100-acre national park and the 20-mile Anacostia Riverwalk Trail, the neighborhood offers abundant opportunities to explore nature while fostering a strong sense of community.
