1313 Wisconsin Ave, NW

From a press release:

“East Fork, the beloved Asheville-based Certified B Corporation known for its meticulously crafted pottery and curated homewares, announced today the opening of its new Georgetown store in Fall 2026. Located on Wisconsin Avenue, the space marks the brand’s third storefront and first permanent location in the D.C. Metro area. The new store will be East Fork’s largest retail footprint to date, offering a place for locals and visitors alike to experience East Fork’s North Carolina-made goods in person.

Situated in the heart of Georgetown’s small business community of independent retailers, restaurants and coffee shops, the new location spans nearly 2,000 square feet of retail space, with an additional 700 square feet dedicated to events and programming. Designed with community in mind, the store will host workshops, installations and other activations throughout the year, creating opportunities for gathering and cultural participation. The approach reflects East Fork’s mission of setting a beautiful and abundant table while using its business to contribute to a more joyful and equitable world.

Ahead of opening, East Fork will begin establishing roots in the Georgetown community through a series of local partnerships, pop-ups and community events designed to build relationships with residents, businesses and visitors alike.

“I have always been blown away by the support and enthusiasm our customers in D.C. have for East Fork,” says Alex Matisse, CEO and co-founder. “Something about the pottery seems to resonate deeply with them. We’ve built some amazing relationships with our D.C. customers through our Seconds Sales, and the last one I attended had a line that must have been a quarter mile long at least. We’re excited to be in such good retail company in Georgetown and to have a big space to deepen the relationships we already have, and welcome new faces into the East Fork universe.”

As East Fork celebrates its 15th anniversary, the new space reflects the brand’s evolution and growing product assortment. In addition to its signature core and rotating seasonal colors, the store will introduce more immersive displays highlighting categories beyond the table. Shoppers can expect areas dedicated to gardening, apothecary, pantry and more.

The store is being designed by Mother Studio, the Asheville-based firm behind East Fork’s retail locations in Asheville, N.C., and Brooklyn, N.Y., and will carry forward the brand’s distinct design language through the use of natural materials, layered textures, and expansive pottery displays.

East Fork’s Georgetown location is set to open in Fall 2026 at 1313 Wisconsin Ave NW, Washington, DC 20007, with more information on store hours to come.

ABOUT EAST FORK

East Fork began as one potter, then two, throwing clay on an old tobacco farm in Madison County, North Carolina. Much has changed in the last decade, but East Fork’s early days laid the foundation for the company they are now – a Certified B Corporation that’s driven by their values and their roots in traditional craft.

Today, East Fork’s pottery is still made by skilled hands with the ergonomic help of machines, using clays sourced from the American Southeast. Built to last generations, its durability is trusted by home cooks and chefs in the busiest commercial kitchens.

East Fork employs 100+ individuals at their headquarters in Asheville, creating an assortment of pottery and home products that appeals to new pottery enthusiasts as well as longtime collectors.”
