“Amazon Drama: 30-40 packages not only inside the lobby but also outside the front door.”

“Dear PoPville,

Saturday night a good Samaritan knocked on our door because a couple of packages with our address were left inside his apartment building about a quarter mile away. He warned us that they may not be there by the time we arrived because his neighbors frequently help themselves to these packages.

My son and I followed him in our car and were shocked to see

about 30-40 packages not only inside the lobby of his apartment building on Missouri and New Hampshire Avenue but also outside the front door. Sure enough, a man had his arm full of packages some of which had my name on them.

My son and I gathered all of the addresses close to our house and delivered about a dozen items. I am sad to say many had been duct taped and although I can’t speak for the other packages, items within ours were missing.

This good Samaritan told us this happens frequently. Other than report the damage to our individual packages I’m not sure what else we can do. I don’t have time to drive around for an hour dropping off people’s half empty packages every time this happens.”
