Yesterday (4/22) around 11am I found a small, collarless dog wandering around the Dupont metro (south exit). Several other commuters also stopped, but she did not belong to anyone in the area. I brought her to Dupont Veterinary Clinic, who scanned for a chip but did not find one.
I’ve reached out to
several rescues and shelters and posted her information on Petco’s Love Lost website, but I wanted to reach out here as well. Despite not being chipped, I can’t imagine someone is not looking for her — she’s an absolute lovebug and very well-mannered and every time I look at her I get cute aggression. She looks like a Chihuahua/Dachshund/Min Pin potpourri, and smaller than both my cats (who are now unionizing against me for this intrusion).
She’s made herself right at home. I’ve been calling her Darla, but I’m hoping she has another name she answers to and family who’s missing her.”
