Curiosities continue at the Hotel Harrington (Sold to the The Georgetown Company in February)

11th and E Street, NW

“Dear PoPville,

This continues to fascinate: When out for lunch and again, I saw a couple leave the Hotel Harrington and lock the lobby door behind them. They were perhaps in their 30s, dressed casually. Maybe they’re the caretakers? Hopefully, not in the sense of the Overlook Hotel.”

When we last posted a commenter shared:

“The Georgetown Company bought HH on Feb 2025”

connectcre reported:

“The Georgetown Company has entered into contract to acquire the historic 308-room Hotel Harrington building in downtown Washington D.C.

Georgetown plans to reposition the entire property and is exploring options to redevelop the site into a marquee asset in downtown D.C. Redevelopment options currently being considered include housing, higher education, hotel and social club assets, and more.”

STAY TUNED.
